K-9 and handler first aid class will be December 17th from 10a to 2pm at The Barn. The course will be instructed by Dr. Szuba of Oak Knoll Veterinary and Medic Todd Konradi.
This will be a 2-part class, focusing on the handler and K9. Dr. Szuba will provide professional information on what to do in the case of an injury to your k9 as well as what information to have ready when calling or arriving at the Vets office.
There will be a K9 mannequin for hands on experience. With Todd and Dr. Szuba to provide better understanding how to treat your injured K9.
There will also be time to practice bandaging your K9 partner under a low stress scenario so you can see how they react.
Todd will also instruct a Stop the Bleed course for handlers in the event you should be Injured or cut.

Cost will be $25, limited to the first 20 people to sign up.
If you do not have a first aid kit you may purchase one for $50, these will be provided by Stacie Goveia or Protecting K9 Heroes.
