Where most dogs start
Group Training
$30a session
Most dogs can sit in an empty kitchen. The test is a room with a dozen other dogs, strange people, and something to climb on. That is what a group session is. You and your dog work through it together, and the calm you build in the barn is the calm you take to the vet, the sidewalk and the front door.
- Stability. Your dog holds a position on, around and over obstacles: tables, platforms and cable spools.
- Control. You and your dog stay connected while other dogs work a few feet away.
- Obedience. A command is given once and followed through, every time.
In dog training, every command is a contract. If you aren't ready to back it up, don't say it.
Stability
The dog holds its position on, around and over things: tables, platforms, cable spools. A dog that is steady on a wobbling spool is steady on a sidewalk.
Control
Handler and dog stay connected while other dogs work a few feet away. The room is the distraction, on purpose.
Obedience
A command is given once and followed through. Every time, by the dog and by you.

Stability, control and obedience are not for the barn. They are for days like this: a dog that is steady anywhere, off leash, and comes back when called.
